Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project App Reviews
Nice game but save doesn’t work. Neither autosave (although game says “progress saved”) nor is there a manual save option. Unless you want to start all over new every time you open the app, it really needs an update. The game itself is nicely playable, like the PC version.
It’s a wonderful platformer with an awesome and legendary character. The achievements don’t work however and the game has performance issues on my newest MacBook Pro.
LOVE this game. Very good fun-to-fee ratio! If you’re looking for a fun side-scroller, this is a blast! It’s a little buggy here and there, but nothing worth complaining about. I got stuck in the sky on one level, and it was hilarious! But fun graphics, great sound effects, decent controls, and lots of “Duke humor” (“Duke comedy, perhaps?). I got it at half-price, and I think it’s worth every bit. I think big-time gamers might find it cludgy and retro, but they need to get over themselves and have a little fun. Gotta go, I need to finish the next level!
It’s really a shame because I had a GREAT time with this game, until I realized bugs prevented me from getting past the 3rd level. I emailed the web site for support but didn’t get a response. If they fixed the game so it wasn’t buggy, I’d give it 5 stars.
I haven’t been able to find any way to save my game progress. I managed to get an option to save one time (I think by using cmd-q to quit), but never saw it again. Now cmd-q just quits the game with no prompt. Escape brings up an in game menu, but all it includes is options to make in app purchases, no option to save the game.
This is a fun addition to the series - when it works. I have had numerous crashes and some of my in app purchases have disappeared and cannot be restored. I tried contacting both Apple and the developer with no success. If the problems were worked out, this would be a really good game.
Doesn´t have support for USB controllers !
Are you kidding us ? a 2D game not playable with USB controllers !?
HOW DO I SAVE MY PROGRESS??
Seems like it should be more obvious.
Many bugs.. the classic segment of crossing back and forth to avoid vehicles flawed since the Duke passed through vehicles without harm? Every time I quit the game creates an error. This game was not ready to distribute. I have uninstalled and will wait for updated version. Running El Capitan. The GOG.com Mac version much better but does run on El Capitan.

Horrible port...

I’m here to enjoy this game and chew bubblegum… and I’m all outa bubble gum.
